1. Scope

These Terms of Use (the "Terms") form an agreement between you and Agentx Limited ("we") covering your download, installation or use of Hold Still (Chinese title: 封寨之夜), including the web version (together, the "Game"). By downloading or using the Game you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms.

2. Licence grant

Subject to your payment where applicable and your purchase or download through the App Store, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable and revocable limited licence to install and play the Game on Apple devices that you own or control, and to use the content you have purchased.

Except as expressly granted here, all rights in the Game — including code, script, artwork, audio, fonts, characters, interface, branding and trademarks — remain with us or our licensors.

3. Paid content and in-app purchases

The Game is offered as a free prologue plus a single non-consumable in-app purchase unlocking the full story. The scope of the free prologue is as described on the App Store product page.
Purchase, payment, billing, tax, refunds and transaction disputes are handled by Apple Inc. under the App Store terms. Submit refund requests directly to Apple, generally via reportaproblem.apple.com.
On successful purchase, the unlock is tied to your Apple Account and can be restored on other devices through the same Apple Account, subject to App Store functionality.
The Game has no subscription and no consumable items. If you ever see a recurring charge under this Game's name on your Apple Account, please report it to Apple and notify us immediately.
Payment is processed by Apple; we never handle your card details. See the Privacy Policy.

4. Content rating

The Game is rated 17+ on the App Store and contains adult themes, profanity and descriptions of violence. You confirm that you meet the legal purchase age in your region and that you are aware of the adult nature of the content.

5. Acceptable use

You must not, and will not:

reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble or otherwise attempt to obtain the source code of the Game, except where applicable law expressly permits it;
remove or obscure any copyright, trademark, rights notice or watermark in the Game;
copy, adapt, redistribute, sublicense, rent, sell or commercially exploit the Game or any part of it, including as training data for machine learning models, without our prior written consent;
use the Game for any unlawful activity or in a way that infringes the rights of others;
bulk-scrape this website or the content we distribute through our cloud storage.

7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Game is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not warrant that the Game will be error-free, uninterrupted, fit for your particular purpose or entirely free of defects, and we do not warrant that your progress will never be lost.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss (including loss of data or save data), even if we have been advised of the possibility of such loss.

8. Suspension and termination

Your licence is revocable. If you breach these Terms we may (without prejudice to any other right) terminate your licence and right to use the Game. On termination you should delete the Game; purchases already made are non-refundable except as handled under Apple's refund policy.

9. Third-party services

The Game is provided on iOS through the Apple App Store. Optional third-party services (for example, the system share sheet or cloud storage) are governed by those third parties' own terms, and we are not responsible for them.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised "last updated" date. Continued use of the Game after an update means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. You and we agree to attempt in good faith to resolve any dispute amicably; failing which, the courts of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region will have jurisdiction.

If any provision is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect.
